TELIN, IR07) has received the BARCO/FWO award for master thesisses on the 9th of december 2009 with her thesis "Acquisition and display of images with a high dynamic range". The award ceremony took place in the Conference Theater of Barco in Kuurne, Belgium.

"Best poster Award" Tijana Ruzic.

Tijana Ruzic (Dept. TELIN, IR07) has received the "best poster award" on the 27th of november 2009 during the ProRISC workshop in Veldhoven, The Netherlands with her work "Efficient inference engine for Ising Markov Random Field Model" (authors : T.Ruzic, A.Pizurica, W.Philips).

Jan Aelterman won "Certificate of Merit" at RSNA - 3 December 2008

At the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) 2008, Jan Aelterman received a Certificate of Merit at the Education Exhibit for his poster, awarded by a jury of experts for interesting new developments in the field. Ivana Despotovic won ProRISC "Best flash presentation Award" - 28 November 2008

Ivana Despotovic has received the "Best flash presentation Award" at the ProRISC-workshop in Veldhoven on 28 November 2008, where about 82 posters were presented. Each poster was introduced by a 1-minute "flash"-presentation and the best one was awarded. A good flash presentation is not easy because it needs to motivate people to visit the corresponding poster, but also to describe the contents and importance of the work, all in one minute. (Ref: I.
