About

I'm currently a PhD candidate affiliated with the Image Processing and Interpretation (IPI) group (an imec research group), TELIN department at Ghent University in Belgium, studying image and video quality in medical imaging. As of May 2020, I also work as a Coordinator/Finance Specialist at imec.

My favorite class during my Electrical Engineering studies at Purdue University was EE522 - "Problems in the measurement of physiological events" taught by professors Les Geddes and George Wodicka together with a few other professors and doctors. In Belgium, I followed the Master of Medical Imaging program at the University of Leuven.

Before starting my PhD, I worked in industry for nearly a decade: RIS/PACS Technical Consultant at Philips Medical Systems, Product Analyst at Voxar/Barco, and Liaison for Funding and Research at the Healthcare division of Barco.

Since 2014, I've been the treasurer of the Circadian Sleep Disorders Network, an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with chronic circadian rhythm disorders.

I like to read serious and less serious things, travel, ski, and irritate my cats.
