Hi, I'm from the SMACS Research Group, which is part of Department of Telecommunications and Information Processing (TELIN), Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (FEA), Ghent University (UGent). I am currently a postdoctoral researcher of the FWO-Vlaanderen and a part-time professor at Ghent University. From October 1, 2007 till December 31, 2007, I visited the EURANDOM Research Institute in Eindhoven.

My research interests include analysis of various discrete-time queueing systems and their applications. I generally focus on obtaining results which are as explicit as possible. Topics include but are not limited to:

Static priority queueing systems
Dynamic priority queueing systems, including GPS
Batch-server queues
Time-dependent studies of queueing systems
Asymptotics, final value
Optical buffers
Human Dynamics
