is a mother of four and Professor at Ghent University (UGent, Belgium), Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Telecommunications and Information Processing (TELIN) Department and a member of the Digital Communications (DIGCOM) research group. Her main research interests are in statistical communication theory, carrier and symbol synchronization, bandwidth-efficient modulation and coding, massive MIMO, optical OFDM, satellite and mobile communication. She is (co-)author of over 50 academic papers in international journals and conference proceedings and recipient of several scientific awards.
